As we begin to see signs of spring in the High Sierra, it is a time for renewed hope and energy. With COVID-19 cases beginning to decline, approximately 78 percent of Barton’s workforce vaccinated and community vaccinations underway, it is beginning to feel as though we are turning the corner on the COVID-19 pandemic.
The arrival and dissemination of the vaccine has bolstered my optimism, and while 2020 challenged us in more ways than we can tally, I am grateful for the many lessons learned, including the importance of those who surround us. Together, we have worked tirelessly to adapt everything we do to provide high quality care for our patients and keep each other safe.
In 2021, we will draw on our collective strength and experience to push us forward. In addition to caring for our patients throughout this ongoing crisis, Barton Health continues to work towards our organization’s long-term goals, including continuing our focus on safety and quality measures, adding capabilities at our Stateline Medical Center campus and expanding offices within the Patient- Centered Medical Home (PCMH) model. While we will continue to prioritize immediate patient needs, keeping an eye on our future reminds us of the light at the end of the tunnel and our journey ahead.
Enjoy the spring season. I wish you and your loved ones all the best in 2021!
Sincerely,
Clint Purvance, MD
